Hallo! I’m Mariska, owner and founder of Mariska Scheepers Professional Makeup Artist (duh).

I have always been fascinated with and inspired by makeup and basically every other thing beauty related.

 

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved everything about makeup - the smell, textures and the pretty packaging and designs they came in. But most of all, I loved seeing the confidence that came with wearing makeup.

 

My mom couldn’t keep me away from her makeup drawer. Every morning I used to stare at my mom as she’d "transform" herself. I was always amazed. I think it’s safe to say that I fell in love with makeup!

 

Let’s get personal: I live in Johannesburg. I am engaged to the most handsome, loving and wonderful man ever, Jaco. We have three adorable Jack Russel Terriers – Chester, the sweetest boy in the world who does not stop crying when he sees us. Mia, the terrorist with probably the biggest dog personality everrrrr, which is quite fitting – she is huge (in a fat way)! And Lilly, the little freak (who reminds me of the 3 hyenas in The Lion King - she’s Ed, the one whose tongue is constantly hanging out).
